By using Somleng AI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

Your videos and audio recordings never leave your device. All speech recognition (Audio-to-Text transcription) and audio separation (isolating voices and background music) execute 100% locally on your smartphone using embedded on-device machine learning models. We do NOT upload, store, or transmit your media files to any remote server.
1. Information We Process and Collect
A. On-Device Media Processing (Offline & Private)
- Selected Videos & Audio Tracks: When you choose a video from your photo library or device storage, the App reads and extracts audio streams locally. These files remain in your local app sandbox and are never uploaded.
- On-Device Machine Learning Models: Speech recognition (SenseVoice) and stem separation (Spleeter / GTCRN) run offline on your device processor.
B. Subtitle Text & Third-Party AI Translation
🤖 Third-Party AI Data Disclosure (Google Gemini)
When you initiate the translation of transcribed subtitles into Khmer, only the extracted text lines (dialogue strings) are securely transmitted via encrypted HTTPS/TLS connection to Google Gemini API (operated by Google LLC).
- Data Transmitted: Subtitle text lines and selected target language (Khmer).
- Recipient: Google LLC (Google Gemini API).
- Purpose: Generating accurate, real-time natural language translations.
- User Permission: An explicit in-app disclosure dialog requires your permission ("Agree & Allow Data Sharing") before any text is sent.
- Google Privacy Policy: Data processed by Google is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Google AI Terms of Service.
C. Automatically Collected Technical & Diagnostic Data
To ensure app stability, improve user experience, and support free access, the App uses reputable third-party SDKs:
- Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): Collects anonymous usage metrics (such as screen views, session duration, app updates, and device model) to help us understand app performance.
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC): Collects crash reports, stack traces, and system state at the time of an unexpected crash to help our developers fix bugs.
- Firebase Remote Config (Google LLC): Dynamically fetches non-personal app configuration settings and version update alerts.
- Google AdMob (Google LLC): Displays banner and interstitial advertisements. AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous identifiers (such as IDFA / GAID, IP address, and ad interaction data) to deliver relevant ads, perform frequency capping, and detect fraud.

3. Device Permissions Required
The App requests the following device permissions only when necessary to perform requested actions:
- Photo Library / Storage Access (Read & Write): Required to select videos from your device for dubbing and to save final rendered video/audio files to your gallery.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS): Used on iOS devices to request your explicit permission before accessing the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) for personalized ads. You may grant or decline this at any time in iOS Settings.
4. How We Protect Your Data
- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between the App and third-party APIs (Google Gemini, Firebase) is strictly encrypted using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS protocols.
- No User Account / No Password Stored: Somleng AI does not require you to create an account, register your email, or provide personal identity details to use core dubbing features.
- Local Storage: Your API keys, language preferences, and video cache are stored in your device's private sandbox storage.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Video & Audio Files: Stored strictly locally on your device. You can delete them at any time by deleting rendered files from your gallery or uninstalling the App.
- Subtitle Text: Processed ephemerally during real-time translation requests and not stored on our servers.
6. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If we become aware that personal data of a child under 13 has been collected without parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete such data.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
